This quietly affluent area was once bustling with successful businesses like tanneries and laundries taking advantage of the abundant water from the old pump house. This is said to be the reason that the original landlords, two brothers, chose to brew their own beer at the pub and then travel around at festival time selling on their fine ales. Hence the name of the pub.

Although no longer brewing on premises The Brewers is still well known for having a great selection of well kept ales. With a minimum of 5 real ales available, there is always something to suit everyone’s taste! With locally sourced, home cooked food is always on the menu, Ye Olde Two Brewers is the ideal location whether you are looking for a quick snack or a three course meal.
